Fear and Loathing. Read that book at least 4 times. That poop is hilarious. One of the most entertaining books I've ever read. Movie was solid too. Where the Buffalo Roam with Bill Murray was amazing too.

I remember reading that book on a flight and laughing out loud. The movie was excellent too.

Oh it's so good. Hell's Angels is really (frank)ing good too. It has it's moments of comedy but it's a really crazy view into the world of that motorcycle gang. That poop was F*CKED up back in the day.

Have you seen Where the Buffalo Roam with Bill Murray and Peter Boyle?

I just did a quick IMDB of that. I never knew that existed. I have to check that out. Same for Thompson's other books. I could use some of his batpoop crazy stories. I'm not reading anything at the moment.

Where the Buffalo Roam is really funny.

Hell's Angels and The Rum Diary are really good.

If you like HST, I dunno if you've read Vonnegut, but he's really funny too. Breakfast of Champions is my favorite by him.

The Doctor is Sick by Anthony Burgess is a pretty crazy read too. But those are both fictional novels, not necessarily true stories.

If you want crazy and hilarious, A Confederacy of Dunces is fantastic

Should have traded Murray, kept Fleury then trained up Jarry to replace him.

Murray will be gone in 3 years anyway.

Theoretically Cole could be part of a Kane trade if Cole agreed to resign (has permission to negotiate), but we'd have to add. Probably a ton. It'd be awesome if we could swing something like Cole, Simon, and a conditional 1st that turns into like two seconds or something if Kane walks on us at the end of the season, but that would only work out of Botterill really values Cole as a long term piece. They could definitely get better futures from somewhere else at the deadline.

I was hoping someone would to try validate that one!

I don't think we're good trading partners

throw in a 1st rounder and it might happen.

Man, last night was embarrassing. I'd like to see how much time we had possession in their end. I get that Vegas was sparked from Fleury and the fact that they don't lose at home, but geez do the pens need life.

I mentioned in the other thread, I think Botterill will be looking to turn around the ship sooner than later. Cole, Hagelin & a first might be something that works for Buffalo. I have been against the thought of paying out the ass for a rental but if they want Cole, there is probably a deal that makes sense out there.

Not a fan at all? He's not my favorite writer by far, but I think he's really entertaining if you've ever dabbled in that lifestyle.

the story behind it is pretty pretty interesting. Guy wrote it and killed himself, his mom brought the book, loose in a bag or something, to an editor and begged the guy to give it a chance. Wound up winning a pulitzer

I have a feeling they are going to dump Hagelin in a different trade then use that cap space to acquire someone else. I have a gut feeling if Cole gets dealt it's to Edm. I could see a big trade with Buffalo which involved Letang more then Cole.

I hate agreeing with Boyd but Hunter S Thompson, Jack Kerouac, and William S Burroughs were rebels beyond their time and most of what they wrote was drug fueled, anti-establishment gold. Exactly what the world is in dire need of right now. Hunter killed himself because Bush got re-elected. He said in Where the Buffalo roam someday there would be someone that made Nixon look like a school boy and that’s who he thought it was and he was terrified. Johnny Depp paid for his ashes to be sent into orbit on a satellite with other famous people like Gene Rodenbury.
If you can find some of Hunters old Rolling Stones articles they are fantastic reads.
